Kris Boyd has explained why Bojan Miovski could be the key figure in Rangers F.C.’s push for the Premiership title

Kris Boyd has told Rangers F.C. that Bojan Miovski could still play a decisive role in their push for the Scottish Premiership title.

With Danny Röhl potentially turning more often to the North Macedonia striker following an injury concern for Ryan Naderi, Boyd believes Miovski may finally have the chance to make a major impact in the closing stages of the season.

Although the forward has yet to fully establish himself at Ibrox, the former Rangers striker insists there is still time for him to prove his worth.

Miovski has made 25 league appearances, scoring five goals and providing one assist, but Boyd argues there are signs he can still influence the title race if he rediscovers his best form at the right moment.

In his Scottish Sun column on April 10, Boyd highlighted Miovski’s substitute appearance against Dundee United, where he scored with a composed finish to seal victory.

He suggested the goal demonstrated his quality in front of goal and praised his decision-making, noting a more direct, “selfish” edge to his play that helped kill off the contest at a crucial stage.

Boyd added that while a starting place against Falkirk is not guaranteed, Miovski is likely to feature prominently, potentially even alongside Youssef Chermiti, depending on Röhl’s tactical approach.

Statistically, Miovski has struggled to replicate the form he showed at Aberdeen F.C., where he scored 44 goals in 98 matches.

At Rangers, limited starts and reduced minutes have affected his output, with an average of a goal every 237 minutes.

His underlying numbers show inconsistency in front of goal, but his finishing ability remains respected within the squad.

Despite mixed form, Boyd believes Miovski still has the ability to influence the title race if given the right opportunities in the run-in.
