Rangers have been given a major lift in the Scottish Premiership title race after the latest BBC report
Rangers F.C., Heart of Midlothian and Celtic have now discovered their post-split fixtures, with each side set to play six remaining matches in the Scottish Premiership.
At present, Hearts lead the standings, sitting one point ahead of Rangers, while Celtic trail the Ibrox side by two points. With all three teams still to face one another, the title race is finely balanced heading into the final stretch, which concludes on May 16.

A key development could come on the final day, when Celtic are scheduled to host Hearts—a fixture that may ultimately decide the destination of the title. As things stand, Rangers could benefit from a Celtic victory in that clash, as it would take points off the current leaders, though the dynamics of the race may shift before then.
Despite leading for much of the campaign, Hearts could still face the possibility of dropping from first to third depending on how results unfold in the closing weeks.
According to the BBC, the scheduling gives Rangers a potential advantage. While both Celtic and Hearts may head into a high-pressure final-day encounter that could determine the title, Rangers avoid such a direct showdown.
Instead, their campaign concludes with a more straightforward away trip to Falkirk, allowing them to focus fully on their own performance without the added psychological strain of a decisive head-to-head clash.
Managing the intensity of a title-deciding fixture can place heavy demands on players, from physical recovery to mental preparation. Rangers, however, may benefit from a calmer build-up compared to their rivals.
Meanwhile, the Old Firm clash between Rangers and Celtic will not take place on the final day due to security concerns, and is instead scheduled for May 10.
In what remains a tightly contested three-way battle, even the smallest advantage could prove decisive in determining the champions.
