The real reason behind Yang Hyun-jun’s surprise trip to Belfast for St Brigid’s vs Lamh Dhearg in the Antrim minor league
Celtic F.C. winger Yang Hyun-jun enjoyed a packed weekend both on and off the pitch.
The 23-year-old started for Martin O’Neill’s side on Saturday, playing 72 minutes in their 3-1 Scottish Premiership win over Falkirk F.C..
A day later, attention turned to the South Korean after images surfaced of him in Belfast attending a Gaelic football clash between St Brigid’s and Lamh Dhearg in the Antrim minor league.
His agent, Gerry Carlile, later explained that the visit came as he wanted to introduce Yang to the sport, having previously shown him footage of last year’s All-Ireland final.
