Stacey West Stand agreement marks progress in Lincoln City stadium revamp
Lincoln City’s summer renovation project at Sincil Bank continues to gather momentum, with the club confirming another key development involving the iconic Stacey West Stand.
The Imps have announced a new three-year partnership with the Northwick Group, which will see the company associated with the Stacey West Stand. Importantly, the agreement does not include a change to the stand’s name, with the club choosing to preserve its historic identity while introducing new branding as part of the sponsorship.

The Stacey West Stand remains dedicated to the memory of Lincoln City supporters Bill Stacey and Jim West, who tragically lost their lives in the Valley Parade disaster on May 11, 1985. The club stressed that protecting the stand’s significance was central to discussions, with the Fan Advisory Board consulted before the agreement was finalised.
Lincoln City’s Head of Commercial, Bobby Copping, praised Northwick Group for recognising the importance of the stand throughout negotiations.
Northwick Group Managing Director Tom Wray, a lifelong Lincoln City supporter and season ticket holder, said the partnership was a proud milestone for the company.
“As a Lincolnshire-based business, we fully understand what the Stacey West Stand means to the football club and its supporters,” Wray said.
The sponsorship announcement comes as renovation work continues across Sincil Bank as part of the club’s wider Imps Territory redevelopment project.
Recent updates from the club confirmed that the old seats in the Stacey West Stand have now been removed and will be replaced with new seating, giving the stand a fresh look ahead of the new season after years of visible wear.
Elsewhere in the stadium, new seats have already been installed in the Greenlinc Renewables Stand. The roof and surrounding exterior have also been repainted, while solar panels have been fitted to the roof as part of the club’s sustainability plans. A new battery storage facility has also been built outside the stadium to support the renewable energy system.
With work progressing on schedule and within budget, Lincoln City remain on course to complete the improvements before the new campaign gets underway.
