Kris Boyd delivers honest Nedim Bajrami verdict after Rangers’ Dundee United draw
Kris Boyd makes surprising Nedim Bajrami admission after Rangers draw with Dundee United
Kris Boyd believes Rangers may have benefited from having Nedim Bajrami available during their 1-1 draw with Dundee United, despite the Albanian appearing close to leaving Ibrox.
Derek McInnes began his competitive reign as Rangers manager with a frustrating result at Tannadice, where Thelo Aasgaard’s second-half equaliser rescued a point after the hosts had taken the lead.

The performance highlighted several areas Rangers still need to improve, particularly in the final third, where creativity was often lacking despite McInnes introducing Dan Neil and Youssef Chermiti at the break.
Bajrami was not part of the matchday squad as speculation over his future continues to grow.
The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Rangers, with Saudi Pro League side Al Taawoun reportedly in discussions over a deal that could begin as a season-long loan before becoming permanent through a purchase option worth around £2.5 million.
A number of other clubs are also believed to be monitoring the situation as Bajrami looks increasingly likely to bring his time at Ibrox to an end.
Despite the attacking midfielder struggling to make a lasting impression during his Rangers career, Boyd suggested the team lacked the type of creativity Bajrami can provide and believes he could have offered something different against Dundee United.
The comments may come as a surprise to many supporters, given Bajrami’s inconsistent displays since arriving in Glasgow and the widespread expectation that he will leave before the transfer window closes.
With Rangers still expected to strengthen their attacking options this summer, Bajrami’s future could be resolved in the coming weeks as McInnes continues to reshape his squad.
