Ipswich Town and Coventry City are planning a swoop for Swansea’s 24-year-old star forward
Coventry City and Ipswich Town are both pushing for Premier League promotion next season and have already started identifying transfer targets to strengthen their squads in anticipation of top-flight football.
With only a few matches remaining, both sides are currently leading the race for automatic promotion, especially after Middlesbrough and Millwall dropped points on Monday, giving Coventry and Ipswich the upper hand in the battle for the top two spots.

It has been a superb campaign for Coventry, who are closing in on a return to the Premier League with just five games left. Under Frank Lampard, the Sky Blues are on the verge of reaching the top division for the first time in 25 years.
Ipswich, on the other hand, may not have been at their very best throughout the season, but they remain firmly in control of their own destiny. They are level on points with Middlesbrough in second place while also having two games in hand.
Both clubs will feel confident about their chances of securing promotion and appear to have already begun planning for life in the Premier League, as they turn their attention to potential summer signings.
According to reports from TEAMtalk, Swansea City striker Zan Vipotnik is attracting strong interest from several Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton, Everton, Newcastle United, and West Ham United. Coventry City and Ipswich Town are also firmly in the race for his signature.
The Slovenian forward joined Swansea in the summer of 2024 on a free transfer after Bordeaux fell into administration and lost their professional status. Since then, he has significantly improved his performances.
After scoring seven goals in 42 league appearances during his first season in South Wales, Vipotnik has enjoyed a remarkable campaign this time around. He has netted 20 goals and provided two assists in 39 league matches, putting him four goals clear at the top of the Championship scoring charts, ahead of Coventry’s Haji Wright.
Unsurprisingly, his impressive form has drawn attention from clubs across Europe, including both Coventry and Ipswich as they prepare for a potential step up.
The 24-year-old recently committed his future to Swansea by signing a new four-year contract in March, which keeps him at the club until 2030. This could make any potential transfer more complicated for interested teams.
It remains unclear whether the deal includes a release clause, but regardless, Swansea are in a strong position when it comes to negotiating any possible move for the Slovenian international.
