Breaking news: The Green Brigade are set to return instantly after Celtic’s latest announcement
Celtic have confirmed that the Green Brigade will return to matches with immediate effect, bringing an end to their lengthy suspension.
The supporter group, usually located in the North Curve safe standing section at Celtic Park, had been banned since November. What began as a three-match suspension was later extended indefinitely following what the club described as “unacceptable behaviour” during a home fixture against Falkirk.

In an official statement, Celtic announced that an agreement had now been reached to allow the group’s return, starting with the upcoming match against St Mirren.
The breakthrough came after discussions with the Glasgow City Council Safety Advisory Group, which confirmed it had no objection to lifting the ban provided certain conditions were met. These include strict adherence to club policies and ticket terms, full cooperation with safety and security measures, and the submission of regular matchday reports to the advisory group.
Celtic confirmed that these terms were presented to the Green Brigade, who have now accepted them in full.
Interim chairman Brian Wilson welcomed the development, stating that the decision allows for a unified atmosphere at Celtic Park during a crucial stage of the season.
With four home fixtures remaining, including key matches under Martin O’Neill, the return of the Green Brigade could provide a timely boost as the campaign approaches its conclusion.
