Kjetil Knutsen finally addresses ongoing speculation linking him with the Celtic manager role
Kjetil Knutsen has firmly addressed speculation linking him with the Celtic job, making it clear where his future lies.
The Norwegian has long been admired by Celtic supporters due to his impressive work with Bodø/Glimt, but interest in his services has never been limited to just one club. With a managerial change expected in the summer, finding the right replacement remains crucial.

However, other reported option Jens Berthel Askou also looks set to stay put at Motherwell, and now Knutsen appears to be taking a similar stance.
Knutsen has reiterated his full commitment to Bodø/Glimt, insisting that outside interest does not concern him. He explained that his focus remains entirely on his current role and that anything beyond that would only serve as a distraction during an important period of the season.
Speaking to Norwegian outlet TV2, the 57-year-old emphasised that he is not entertaining job offers, as his priority is to continue the work he has built at the club.
In truth, a move to Celtic always seemed unlikely. Knutsen enjoys a strong position at Bodø/Glimt, where he holds significant influence—something that would be difficult to replicate elsewhere. Leaving such a stable and successful project for a rebuilding challenge in Glasgow would have been a major decision.
His stance may also have an impact on potential transfers, including interest in Kasper Høgh, who could be persuaded to remain under Knutsen’s guidance rather than pursue a move away.
While acknowledging there are appealing opportunities elsewhere, Knutsen made it clear that, for now, his attention is solely on continuing progress with Bodø/Glimt.
