Bolton and Bradford City handed transfer opportunity involving Notts County forward
Notts County could face a major transfer battle this summer as star striker Alassana Jatta attracts interest from Danish side Horsens, but Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City may also have reason to enter the race.
Jatta played a pivotal role in County’s promotion to League One, finishing as the club’s leading scorer with 16 league goals before adding another in the play-off final victory over Salford City at Wembley.

The Gambian forward is now reportedly the subject of a £425,000 bid from Horsens, a fee that could represent excellent value for clubs searching for proven goalscorers.
Bolton Wanderers, who were previously linked with Jatta during their time in League One, could be tempted to revive their interest as Steven Schumacher looks to strengthen his attacking options.
The Trotters have already bolstered their defence and midfield this summer, but the manager has made it clear that adding more firepower remains a priority following several departures in the forward line.
While Bolton continue to monitor other attacking targets, Jatta’s goal record and relatively modest price tag could make him an attractive option.
Bradford City may also view the 26-year-old as a smart addition after narrowly missing out on promotion last season.
Despite another strong campaign under Graham Alexander, the Bantams lacked a consistent goalscorer, with midfielder Antoni Sarcevic finishing as the club’s top scorer.
Jatta’s record of 44 goals in 89 appearances for Notts County since arriving in January 2024 suggests he could provide the cutting edge Bradford have been searching for.
Having already strengthened the squad this summer, another move in the transfer market for a proven striker could boost the Bantams’ hopes of challenging for automatic promotion.
With Horsens already making their move, Bolton and Bradford may need to act quickly if they hope to convince one of League One’s most prolific forwards to remain in English football.
