Ryan Reynolds releases statement after Wrexham A.F.C. fall short of Premier League promotion
Ryan Reynolds has spoken out after Wrexham A.F.C. fell short in their bid for promotion to the Premier League.
The Welsh side missed out on a playoff place after finishing outside the Championship’s top six. Heading into their final game against Middlesbrough F.C., Wrexham knew a win would secure their spot, but a 2-2 draw proved insufficient.

Results elsewhere compounded their disappointment, as Hull City A.F.C. defeated Norwich City F.C. to leapfrog them in the standings.
Despite falling short, Wrexham’s rapid rise under Reynolds and Rob McElhenney — from the National League to the Championship in just five years — remains remarkable, even if their push for a fourth straight promotion came to an end.
