Coventry City F.C. eye £10m windfall as £5m Frank Lampard clause comes to light
Coventry City F.C. are gearing up for life in the Premier League after sealing the Championship title under Frank Lampard.
Lampard has been widely praised for ending the club’s 25-year absence from the top flight, but his success has sparked interest from elsewhere, including links to Crystal Palace F.C..
Reports suggest Coventry would be entitled to around £5 million in compensation should another club attempt to appoint him. However, there is growing belief that figure could rise to £10 million if a new contract is agreed.
Despite speculation, Lampard appears settled at the CBS Arena, with backing from owner Doug King and a strong connection to supporters seen as key reasons he could stay.
