Transfer latest as West Bromwich Albion close in on Jimmy-Jay Morgan with fee now revealed by Fabrizio Romano
West Bromwich Albion are expected to strengthen their squad this summer as they look to avoid a repeat of last season’s struggles in the Championship.
The Baggies went through a difficult campaign in the second tier, dealing with managerial changes and a points deduction that left them close to the relegation zone. Their inconsistency in front of goal was also a major concern, with only a handful of teams scoring fewer league goals.

With several departures already confirmed, including experienced players leaving as free agents, Albion have begun reshaping the squad ahead of the new season.
One of their key targets is Chelsea forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan, with reports suggesting a deal has been agreed between both clubs. The package is believed to be worth around £4m and includes a sell-on clause, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Peterborough United, where he showed promising form, and also impressed at youth level for Chelsea with strong goal contributions.
West Brom are aiming to add more attacking quality this summer as they look to improve their scoring record and build a more competitive squad for the season ahead.
