Steve Clarke has eased concerns over Kieran Tierney after the defender was forced off during Scotland’s narrow defeat to Morocco national football team.

The Celtic F.C. full-back started the match at Boston Stadium, but went down early in the second half and was eventually replaced by Ben Doak. Morocco secured a 1-0 victory thanks to an early strike from Ismael Saibari.

After the game, Clarke confirmed the issue was not serious, revealing that Tierney had simply suffered from cramp after an impressive performance.

Explaining the change, Clarke said Ben Doak’s introduction offered a different attacking threat, adding that Tierney had performed well before being forced off.

Scotland also felt hard done by in the second half after several penalty appeals involving John McGinn, Scott McTominay, and Che Adams were waved away, though Clarke refused to criticize the officiating and described the incidents as close calls.

Meanwhile, Morocco boss Mohamed Ouahbi praised his side’s display, saying they controlled most of the game and were pleased to secure the win.
