Rangers ace earns international World Cup chance in huge boost for club and country
Thelo Aasgaard has earned a place in Norway’s 26-man squad selected by manager Ståle Solbakken for the upcoming tournament.
Norway have been placed in Group I, where they are scheduled to face Iraq, Senegal and France as they aim to progress through the competition. Ahead of the tournament, the Scandinavian side will also take part in friendly fixtures against Sweden and Morocco as part of their preparations.

Aasgaard has already made six appearances for the national team and has made a strong impression, scoring five goals so far. Among those contributions was a standout four-goal display during Norway’s emphatic 11-1 World Cup qualifying victory over Moldova.
The Rangers midfielder will line up alongside several high-profile stars in the squad, including Erling Haaland of Manchester City, Martin Ødegaard, who captains Arsenal, and Crystal Palace forward Jørgen Strand Larsen.
Since arriving at Rangers from Luton Town last year, Aasgaard has become an important figure at Ibrox, making 48 appearances while contributing eight goals and five assists.
