Martin O’Neill provides Daizen Maeda injury update ahead of Rangers F.C. clash
Martin O’Neill has delivered a reassuring injury update ahead of Celtic F.C.’s crucial derby clash with Rangers F.C. this weekend.
Concerns had emerged following Celtic’s recent match against Hibernian F.C. at Easter Road, when in-form forward Daizen Maeda was seen leaving the pitch and heading down the tunnel with his boot removed.
However, just days later, O’Neill has moved to calm fears surrounding the attacker’s condition ahead of Sunday’s Glasgow Derby.
Speaking to club media, the manager confirmed that Maeda is recovering well and making steady progress, offering a timely boost for Celtic as they prepare for one of their biggest fixtures of the season.
