Ibrox Stadium set for major improvements as Rangers confirm renovation plans
Rangers F.C. have outlined an extensive programme of upgrades at Ibrox ahead of the new season, with improvements planned both inside the stadium and around its surrounding areas.
In a detailed club update, Rangers confirmed that the Ibrox pitch is currently undergoing refurbishment work to ensure it remains in top condition for the campaign ahead following the conclusion of last season.

Supporters in the Copland Rear stand are also set to benefit from changes, with the existing railings due to be replaced by a new glass balustrade design aimed at improving sightlines and enhancing the overall matchday experience.
Structural maintenance will also take place in the Bill Struth Main Stand, including timber replacements, fixing cover upgrades and new façade panels as part of broader building preservation efforts. Alongside that, the club continues compliance work on the listed stand, with electrical inspections and testing already underway since last September and expected to conclude over the summer.
Inside the stadium, the Members Lounge is set for a significant refresh, including new booth seating, LED lighting, upgraded flooring and decorative improvements. Across the corridor, restoration work is continuing in the Trophy Room, with funding support from Club 1872 helping deliver new lighting and extensive redecoration to modernise one of the club’s most iconic spaces.
The stadium surroundings will also receive attention, with the John Greig Ibrox Disaster Memorial statue scheduled for restoration work, including rewaxing and touch-ups.
Meanwhile, plans are in place to add lighting to the statue of Walter Smith, pending approval from Glasgow City Council. Restoration discussions are also ongoing regarding artwork in the Blue Room, involving artist Senga Murray.
In addition, painting teams will be working across Ibrox, Edmiston House, the Rangers Training Centre and the Ibrox Community Complex as the club prepares facilities for the new season.
