Fresh update on Jordan James as Birmingham City F.C. keep close watch on growing transfer race
Birmingham City F.C. academy product Jordan James could be heading back to English football this summer after attracting strong interest from both Premier League and Championship clubs.
The Welsh midfielder enjoyed an impressive campaign on loan with Leicester City F.C., despite the club’s difficult season. His performances stood out, with 11 goals in the Championship and recognition as the league’s Young Player of the Season.

After joining Stade Rennais F.C. from Birmingham in 2024, it now looks increasingly likely that James could move on again, with clubs in England closely monitoring his situation.
Crystal Palace F.C. are among those reportedly interested, while West Ham United F.C. have also been linked as they assess midfield options for the new campaign.
Rennes are believed to have placed a significant valuation on the 22-year-old, meaning any club hoping to sign him may need to make a strong offer. Meanwhile, Birmingham will be watching closely, knowing his rising value could further underline the success of his original sale.
