Four signings wanted! Rangers step up summer rebuild with Bryan Reynolds bid
Rangers are moving quickly in the summer transfer market as Danny Röhl looks to reshape his squad ahead of the new campaign, with defensive reinforcements emerging as a major priority.
The Ibrox side have already secured a headline signing in Lawrence Shankland from Hearts, while Liam Kelly has committed his future by signing a new contract. At the same time, Rangers have begun moving experienced figures on, including long-serving captain James Tavernier, as significant changes take shape in Govan.

Andrew Cavenagh’s backing in the market has also become increasingly clear, with Rangers already submitting a reported £2.1 million bid for Westerlo right-back Bryan Reynolds as recruitment efforts intensify.
According to reports, Reynolds is just one piece of a much wider defensive rebuild, with Rangers believed to be targeting four new defensive additions this summer. The need for reinforcements has grown following the departures of loan players Nasser Djiga, Derek Cornelius and Jayden Meghoma, leaving Röhl with limited senior options in defence including Tuur Rommens, Emmanuel Fernandez, John Souttar and Dujon Sterling.
Although Rangers’ opening approach for Reynolds was reportedly rejected, the American full-back remains firmly on the club’s radar as they push to strengthen at right-back. A move would also mirror Rommens’ path from Westerlo to Glasgow.
Elsewhere, Rangers are expected to remain active in attacking areas despite landing Shankland. The club are likely to seek further creativity following the exits of loan stars Mikey Moore and Andreas Skov Olsen, although Moore could yet return to Ibrox.
With Shankland already through the door and Rangers acting decisively in pursuit of Reynolds, early signs suggest a busy transfer window lies ahead as Röhl and the board attempt to rebuild after an underwhelming end to last season.
