Former Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart explains his lasting connection to the club
Joe Hart has reflected on his time with Celtic F.C., calling his spell in Glasgow the ideal way to bring his playing career to a close.
The former England national football team goalkeeper joined Celtic in 2021, a move that surprised many after difficult spells at Burnley F.C., West Ham United F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur F.C..

Under Ange Postecoglou, Hart found a fresh start and quickly became one of the key voices in the dressing room during a successful era for the club.
Looking back, Hart said he never questioned the timing of his move and understood the challenge that came with joining a club where high standards are expected every week. He knew he had to prove himself on the pitch, not just through experience or reputation.
Hart also revealed that family life played a major part in his decision to retire, explaining that he did not want to continue playing elsewhere after his Celtic chapter ended.
The emotional farewell from supporters at his final home game remains one of the moments that has stayed with him most, with Hart admitting he will always appreciate the chance Celtic gave him at that stage of his career.
