Breaking news: Six people held by police following incidents at Norwich City vs Ipswich Town derby
Six individuals were arrested after Norwich City suffered a 2-0 loss to Ipswich Town in the East Anglian Derby.
According to Norfolk Police, a large police presence was deployed in and around Carrow Road as well as across the city centre before, during, and after Saturday’s fixture, which attracted a crowd of 26,826—close to full capacity.

The arrests were made for a range of offences, including criminal damage, common assault, affray, and drunk and disorderly behaviour. All six individuals are currently being held in custody.
Match commander Chief Superintendent Wes Hornigold stated that the priority was ensuring public safety while also accommodating supporters. He also expressed gratitude to fans, emergency service teams, and both clubs for their cooperation.
