Rangers F.C. weighing next step for Alexander Smith amid growing Scottish interest
Rangers F.C. have a key decision to make over Alexander Smith following his encouraging spell away from Ibrox last season.
The 18-year-old has returned to Auchenhowie after a productive loan with Dumbarton F.C., where he made a strong impression in a short period. His four assists in eight appearances highlighted his creative ability and caught the eye of those monitoring his progress.
Smith has also continued his development on the international stage, representing Scotland national under-17 football team and Scotland national under-18 football team after switching from the United States setup.

With Derek McInnes expected to take a close look at younger talent during pre-season, the midfielder’s immediate future remains open.
Interest in Smith is said to be growing among several Scottish clubs, leaving Rangers with a choice over whether to keep him around the first team or send him out for more senior experience.
