Kieran McKenna reaches decision on Celtic F.C. as Parkhead chiefs make contact with Ipswich Town F.C. boss
Kieran McKenna is reportedly prepared to reject interest from both Crystal Palace F.C. and Fulham F.C. this summer, with the Ipswich Town F.C. manager determined to continue his project at Portman Road following the club’s promotion to the Premier League.

According to reports, McKenna remains fully committed to Ipswich despite attracting strong attention from several clubs after guiding the Tractor Boys back to the top flight. The 39-year-old is said to be excited by the challenge of leading Ipswich in the Premier League and has little interest in walking away at this stage.
The development is also understood to be a blow for Celtic F.C., who had been linked with McKenna in recent months. However, sources now suggest any realistic chance of the Parkhead club securing the Ipswich boss has become virtually impossible following the Suffolk side’s promotion success.
Ipswich are reportedly prepared for further approaches after repeatedly fending off interest in McKenna over recent seasons, with the club determined to keep hold of one of the most highly-rated young managers in British football.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are believed to be accelerating their pursuit of Andoni Iraola as a potential replacement for Oliver Glasner. Former Manchester United F.C. chief scout Mick Brown recently claimed there is a strong possibility Palace could land the current AFC Bournemouth boss despite competition from several top clubs.
Iraola’s impressive work at Bournemouth has made him one of the most sought-after managers in the Premier League, particularly after guiding the Cherries into contention for European qualification. Reports suggest Palace have already held talks with the Spaniard, with Brown describing a potential appointment as a “massive coup” for the Eagles.
McKenna had reportedly been identified as an alternative option should Palace fail in their pursuit of Iraola, but current indications suggest the Ipswich boss is unlikely to entertain an exit anyway.
At the same time, Fulham F.C. continue to face uncertainty surrounding the future of Marco Silva amid renewed interest from clubs abroad, though McKenna does not currently appear interested in stepping into that vacancy either.
