West Bromwich Albion F.C. turn to ex-Middlesbrough F.C. man as new manager after avoiding drop
James Morrison has been appointed permanent head coach of West Bromwich Albion F.C. after successfully guiding the club to Championship safety.
The former Middlesbrough F.C. midfielder stepped in following the dismissal of Eric Ramsay and oversaw a remarkable turnaround, losing just once in 14 matches. Despite a points deduction for breaching PSR rules, Morrison secured survival with a game to spare.
Chairman Shilen Patel praised his impact, highlighting his leadership and ability to unite the club during a difficult period, while confirming he has signed a two-year deal.
Morrison said he was “honoured and humbled” to take on the role permanently, crediting the unity across players, staff and fans for the team’s survival.
Elsewhere, Burnley F.C. have parted ways with Scott Parker following relegation, with Craig Bellamy emerging as an early contender to replace him.
