West Bromwich Albion F.C. stretched their unbeaten run to nine matches with a comfortable 3-0 win over Watford F.C., continuing their strong push towards safety in the EFL Championship.

The Baggies followed up their recent win over Preston North End with another convincing performance, putting themselves in a strong position to avoid relegation.

After the match, interim boss James Morrison revealed that club owner Shilen Patel entered the dressing room to address the players and staff, delivering a speech after their impressive run of form. Morrison confirmed the gesture was well received but kept the details private, insisting that what happens in the dressing room remains confidential.

On the pitch, West Brom took control early, with Isaac Price opening the scoring before Daryl Dike added a second with a close-range header. Although there were moments of pressure in the second half, Danny Imray sealed the result with his first goal for the club, ensuring all three points.

With just two games remaining, Albion now sit eight points clear of the relegation zone, although uncertainty still lingers due to a potential points deduction linked to financial regulations. Regardless, Morrison has overseen a remarkable turnaround, transforming a struggling side into a well-organised and confident team.

Since taking over, Morrison has reshaped the squad by implementing a 4-4-2 system, improving both defensive solidity and attacking threat. The team has recorded six clean sheets in their last seven matches, while also becoming far more effective going forward. His impact has also reconnected the fans with the team, earning widespread praise for stabilising the club during a difficult period.

Speaking after the victory, Morrison also addressed his own future at The Hawthorns, acknowledging the scale and expectations of the role. While he did not rule out taking the job permanently, he admitted it would be a significant challenge to guide the club back to the Premier League.

Despite that, his work so far has made a strong case for him to be considered for the position long-term, with many believing he has already shown the qualities needed to lead the club into a more positive future.
