A statement has been released by the Union Bears after they were prohibited from attending the Old Firm match at Celtic Park, following a ruling involving Celtic F.C.

and the Scottish Professional Football League.

Celtic had pushed for guarantees from Rangers F.C. that the group would not be given tickets, citing events after last month’s match at Ibrox.

The SPFL ultimately supported Celtic’s stance, prompting a strong response from the Union Bears, who labelled the decision harmful to supporter traditions and warned of its long-term consequences.

They added that discussions with Rangers are ongoing, stressing the importance of having a united fanbase present at the high-profile fixture.
