Swansea City boss Vítor Matos criticised the penalty decision after the draw with Norwich City
Vítor Matos expressed frustration over the late penalty decision that denied Swansea City a win at Norwich City, while also praising his players’ effort at Carrow Road.
Playing their second away match in four days, Swansea were not at their sharpest against an in-form Norwich side. After going in level at the break, they took the lead through Žan Vipotnik’s penalty and looked set for a hard-earned victory.

However, Norwich were awarded a controversial spot-kick seven minutes from time. Earlier, Cameron Burgess had cleared Ali Ahmed’s cross, but goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux was penalized after colliding with Mathias Kvistgaarden.
Matos questioned the decision but refused to dwell on it, instead highlighting his team’s performance. Despite lacking some of the energy shown in their previous win over Queens Park Rangers, Swansea extended their strong run, losing just once in their last six matches. They now sit on 61 points, matching last season’s total ahead of their final game against Charlton Athletic.
