Rangers fans stunned as Hugh Keevins delivers bold Celtic prediction
Rangers head into Sunday’s Old Firm meeting with Celtic in a confident mood, but Hugh Keevins believes the reaction from supporters could be very different if the game follows the pattern of the previous derby.
Derek McInnes has overseen a strong run of form since taking charge, with Rangers building momentum after their emphatic 3-0 victory over Celtic at Ibrox.

That result has changed the atmosphere around the club, particularly with the Gers now having won five matches in succession. Celtic, meanwhile, have endured a difficult spell after following their derby defeat with a 3-1 home loss to Ferencváros in the Europa League.
Martin O’Neill’s side struggled to cope with Rangers in the first meeting, with Dan Neil scoring twice and Kevin Kelsy also finding the net as McInnes’ tactical approach paid off.
Celtic now have the chance to respond at Parkhead, but the recent results have left supporters with plenty to debate ahead of another meeting between the Glasgow rivals.
Keevins has suggested that Rangers fans will be approaching the fixture with considerable confidence following what happened at Ibrox, while Celtic will be determined to produce a completely different performance on home soil.
The defeat to Ferencváros has only added to the pressure surrounding O’Neill, making Sunday’s clash particularly important for Celtic.
For Rangers, another strong showing would further strengthen the belief that McInnes has turned the team’s fortunes around. For Celtic, the derby represents an opportunity to put the previous result behind them and provide an immediate response in front of their own supporters.
