Players ruled out of Derby County F.C. vs Sheffield United F.C. clash

Derby County F.C. head into their clash with Sheffield United F.C. knowing a play-off place is still within reach — but not entirely in their hands.

Currently sitting eighth on 69 points, the Rams trail both Hull City and Wrexham by a single point, though they boast a better goal difference. For Derby to break into the top six, they must win at Pride Park and hope either Hull or Wrexham fail to secure victory in their respective fixtures against Norwich City and Middlesbrough.

However, John Eustace’s side will be without several key players for this crucial encounter.

Patrick Agyemang has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering an Achilles injury earlier this month. The striker had impressed since arriving from Charlotte and has even attracted interest from clubs like Leeds United, but his campaign now appears to be over.

Former Sheffield United forward Rhian Brewster will also miss the match after undergoing knee surgery, meaning he won’t get the chance to face his old club.

There are further concerns over Bobby Clark, who is a doubt after picking up a knee issue against Southampton, while left-back Callum Elder is unlikely to feature following his own recent operation.

With injuries mounting at a crucial stage of the campaign, Derby’s push for a play-off spot faces a significant challenge heading into this decisive fixture.
