Martin O’Neill shares his thoughts as Green Brigade return to Celtic
Martin O’Neill has welcomed Celtic F.C.’s confirmation that the Green Brigade will return to matches, with the fan group’s ban officially lifted after being in place since November.
The decision has been warmly received by supporters, especially with four key home fixtures still to play before the end of the season. O’Neill believes their presence could provide a timely lift for the team.
Speaking on the development, he acknowledged that the resolution of safety concerns should help restore the atmosphere at Celtic Park and boost the players.
He added that the passionate backing from supporters has always been vital and hopes their return will strengthen the team’s push in the final weeks.
O’Neill, who has frequently been asked about the situation during his time in charge, expressed his desire for the issue to now be put behind the club, allowing focus to shift to performances on the pitch and the upcoming summer period.
He also praised the travelling support in a recent match at Dundee, highlighting how fans continued to encourage the team even during difficult moments.
Celtic now turn their attention to a clash with St Mirren F.C., as they look to build momentum heading into the decisive post-split stage of the season.
