Latest update: Crystal Palace pushing to appoint Frank Lampard as new boss
Crystal Palace are unlikely to succeed in any move to appoint Frank Lampard as their next manager.
Chairman Steve Parish is a long-time admirer of Lampard and is interested in exploring a potential move to bring him to Selhurst Park this summer.
However, the former Chelsea boss is reportedly committed to staying with Coventry City, where he is aiming to guide the club to Premier League promotion.

Despite interest from several top-flight clubs, Coventry remain confident Lampard will still be in charge at the CBS Arena next season. As a result, Palace’s hopes of luring him to South London appear slim.
The Eagles are planning to appoint a permanent successor to Oliver Glasner, and attention is now turning elsewhere. Thomas Frank has emerged as the leading candidate, having impressed with his work at Brentford. His ability to achieve results with limited resources has made him an attractive option for Palace’s hierarchy.
Meanwhile, the club are also keen to retain key players such as Adam Wharton as they prepare for a new era under a fresh managerial appointment.
