Jamie O’Hara’s reaction to West Ham’s defeat
Jamie O’Hara appeared to take some amusement from West Ham United’s disappointing 2-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic, particularly after defender Lloyd Jones opened the scoring with an acrobatic finish.
O’Hara’s reaction was not simply about West Ham conceding early. The former Tottenham midfielder recognised Jones from the reality show Love Undercover, prompting him to joke on X: “Can’t believe Love undercover has scored against West Ham. Unbelievable stuff.”
West Ham struggled throughout the game, with Charlton making the most of their opportunities and punishing the Hammers’ lack of cutting edge. The home supporters made their frustration clear, with boos heard at both half-time and the final whistle.
Joel Piroe eventually pulled one back for West Ham late in the match, but Taty Castellanos missed a penalty afterwards, allowing Charlton to hold on for a memorable victory at the London Stadium.
