Kemar Roofe reacts as Rangers complete Lawrence Shankland signing
Rangers F.C. have finally secured the signing of Lawrence Shankland, with the striker sealing his long-awaited move to Ibrox ahead of the summer transfer window.
Shankland, who has regularly been linked with a switch to the club he supports, will officially join Rangers from Heart of Midlothian F.C. when the transfer window opens on 15 June. The deal was completed before he links up with Scotland national football team for the World Cup.

Former Rangers forward Kemar Roofe was quick to react after the move was announced, sharing his excitement on social media. Responding to Rangers’ official Instagram post, Roofe described the signing as an “elite piece of business”.
The announcement was also liked by several current Rangers players, including Jack Butland, Tuur Rommens, Emmanuel Fernandes and Lyall Cameron, highlighting the excitement around the move.
Rangers confirmed on 26 May that Shankland had signed a two-year deal with the option of an extra year, making him the club’s first signing of the summer.
The transfer is already being viewed as a major win for Rangers’ ownership group, led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises, especially with reports suggesting the fee involved was relatively low due to a clause in Shankland’s Hearts contract.
If Rangers have landed the 30-year-old for a modest sum, it could leave room for further additions this summer as the club look to strengthen across multiple positions.
