West Ham United are reportedly preparing for a major rebuild following relegation to the Championship, with Swansea City midfielder Ethan Galbraith emerging as a potential transfer target.

The Hammers are expected to reshape their squad this summer after dropping out of the Premier League, though uncertainty remains over how many current stars will stay at the London Stadium. Financial pressures could force the club to cash in on several high-value assets as they look to balance the books.

A number of key names have already been linked with exits, including Mateus Fernandes, Crysencio Summerville, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and captain Jarrod Bowen, meaning reinforcements may be required if departures materialise.

While West Ham’s transfer budget remains unclear, ambitions are expected to remain high as the club aims for an immediate return to the Premier League.

According to an exclusive report from Football League World, Swansea City midfielder Ethan Galbraith has now entered the club’s thinking as a possible addition to strengthen the middle of the park.

The former Manchester United youngster, who can also operate at right-back, only joined Swansea last summer from Leyton Orient in a deal reportedly worth around £1.6 million but has quickly attracted attention with his performances.

Wrexham have already been credited with interest in the Northern Ireland international, with reports suggesting the newly-promoted side have been monitoring his situation ahead of a possible move.

However, West Ham have now entered the race for the Glengormley-born midfielder, although Swansea are yet to receive any formal offers that would force a decision over his future.

Galbraith is viewed as a versatile option capable of adding quality and flexibility to a squad West Ham hope will be strong enough to challenge for automatic promotion next season.
