Celtic face fresh injury doubt before St Mirren clash following training setback
St Mirren F.C. face a late fitness concern ahead of their Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic F.C., with goalkeeper Shamal George now a doubt following a training ground injury.
The on-loan stopper, who recently recovered from a neck issue that forced him off during last weekend’s defeat to Celtic, has since picked up an ankle problem in training. Interim manager Craig McLeish admitted there is concern after George had to leave Thursday’s session early.

A late decision will be made on his availability, but if he is ruled out, Ryan Mullen is expected to step in. Mullen impressed after replacing George at Celtic Park, showing composure despite limited appearances since joining from Greenock Morton F.C..
McLeish expressed confidence in both options, stressing that the medical team will continue to monitor George’s condition before making a final call.
St Mirren are aiming to reach another final this season, having already beaten Celtic at Hampden earlier in the campaign to lift the Premier Sports Cup.
