Carlton Morris breaks silence after Derby’s heavy defeat and makes feelings on John Eustace clear
Derby County’s disappointing run continued on Tuesday night as they suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat to Norwich City at Pride Park, with striker Carlton Morris speaking out after another frustrating result.
Despite the growing pressure on John Eustace, Morris has made it clear that he remains fully behind the Derby manager, insisting that the players must take responsibility for their performances and find a way to turn the club’s fortunes around.

The heavy loss leaves the Rams 23rd in the Championship table, having managed just one victory in their opening 14 league matches.
Speaking after the defeat, Morris admitted that there had been some difficult conversations in the dressing room, but stressed that the responsibility for improving results rests firmly with the players.
The Derby forward described the performance as unacceptable and admitted that the result was particularly painful, given what the club means to everyone involved.
He also challenged his teammates to take a closer look at their individual performances and consider what more they could contribute to help the team.
Morris acknowledged that Derby are going through a difficult period, but insisted that the squad cannot afford to lose confidence or become afraid of making mistakes.
He believes the team has enough quality to compete, but wants to see players show greater courage, demand possession and take responsibility when things become difficult.
The striker also warned against players hiding during matches or expecting others to do the hard work, insisting that everyone must contribute defensively and offensively.
With Derby’s poor form continuing, Morris believes the squad must start showing more character and accountability before their situation becomes even worse.
