Ben Godfrey linked with Ibrox switch as Rangers F.C. consider loan option
Rangers F.C. look set to strengthen their defence with the expected arrival of Ben Godfrey on loan from Atalanta BC.
The former Everton F.C. defender has struggled to settle in Italy since his move in 2024 and has since spent time out on loan, with Rangers now pushing to bring him to Ibrox for the season.
Manager Derek McInnes is eager to strengthen at the back after several defensive departures this summer, including the exits of loan players and long-serving captain James Tavernier.

Godfrey, who has represented England national football team at senior level, built his reputation during his time at Norwich City F.C. before earning a major Premier League move.
After already adding Ross McCrorie this summer, Rangers appear close to making Godfrey their next addition as preparations continue for the new campaign.
