Ryan Naderi gets huge Rangers reaction after emotional international debut

Ryan Naderi was clearly overcome with emotion after finally making his senior debut for Czechia, and several Rangers teammates were quick to show their support.

The Rangers attacker had a memorable night on Saturday as Czechia faced Spain, despite the visitors eventually suffering a 3-1 defeat.

Naderi had several international options available to him. He qualifies for Czechia through his mother, while his father’s Bulgarian background also made him eligible to represent Bulgaria. Having been born and raised in Germany during his early football development, he could also have chosen to play for Germany.

Bulgaria had previously made an approach for the 23-year-old earlier this year, but Naderi ultimately decided that his international future would lie with Czechia.

After finally making his first appearance, the Rangers man took to Instagram to share his feelings about what was a significant moment in his career.

Naderi opens up after Czechia debut

Naderi had already described the occasion as the “biggest match of my life” and admitted that the experience was difficult to put into words.

His night became even more memorable when he appeared to have scored on his debut. Naderi played a role in the move that led to Jiri Slama finding the net, although his own effort was eventually ruled out.

Spain had already built a two-goal advantage through Lamine Yamal and Rodri before Slama pulled one back for Czechia. Mikel Merino then restored Spain’s two-goal cushion late on.

Reflecting on the experience the following morning, Naderi posted a series of photographs from the match on Instagram alongside the message: “Some things you can’t describe.”

The post quickly caught the attention of his Rangers teammates.

Nicolas Raskin shared one of the images on his own account, adding star-struck emojis, while Tuur Rommens responded with a celebration emoji.

Findlay Curtis opted for a wolf emoji, while Vanja Dragojevic and Mason Munn were also among those to interact with Naderi’s post.

It was a clear show of support from the Rangers dressing room after the forward reached another major milestone in his young career.

Naderi could feature against England

Naderi’s wait for his Czechia debut was extended by a paperwork issue, which prevented him from featuring in matches against Croatia and England.

Now that he has finally made his bow, the Rangers star could be involved again when Czechia travel to Wembley to face England on Tuesday.

That would give Naderi another opportunity to gain valuable international experience before returning to Glasgow and resuming his Rangers duties.

Providing he comes through the international period without an injury, his next Czechia assignments are expected to come in November, with Spain visiting before a trip to Croatia.
