Rangers eye move for Cameron Devlin following Hearts exit
Rangers are reportedly considering a move for former Hearts midfielder Cameron Devlin after the Australian became a free agent following his departure from Tynecastle.
According to Sky Sports, new Rangers boss Derek McInnes is interested in reuniting with Devlin after previously working with him at Hearts. The pair built a strong relationship during their time together, and a move to Ibrox could now become a realistic possibility.

The Light Blues are continuing to strengthen their squad as McInnes looks to mount a serious Scottish Premiership title challenge next season. With Devlin currently available on a free transfer after failing to reach an agreement over a new contract with Hearts, Rangers have the chance to add an experienced midfielder without paying a transfer fee.
The 28-year-old Australia international, who represented his country at the FIFA World Cup, is now searching for the next step in his career after five seasons in Edinburgh.
McInnes is believed to be a long-time admirer of Devlin, whose energetic displays and consistency made him an important figure during his spell at Hearts. His former teammate Lawrence Shankland has already made the switch to Rangers this summer, and Devlin could follow him to Ibrox if negotiations progress.
However, Rangers are exploring several midfield options. Alongside Devlin, the club is also monitoring Tromso midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl and Partizan Belgrade youngster Vanja Dragojevic as they continue their recruitment drive.
So far this summer, Rangers have strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Ross McCrorie, Ivan Pandur, Ben Godfrey, Dan Neil and Lawrence Shankland. More additions are expected as McInnes aims to build a squad capable of competing with Celtic for domestic honours.
Devlin featured in 33 matches in all competitions last season and remained an influential member of the Hearts squad throughout the campaign. Across his five years at the club, he made 171 appearances and established himself as one of the team’s most dependable midfielders.
Known for his work rate, tackling ability, interceptions, accurate passing and willingness to shoot from distance, Devlin possesses the experience and qualities that could strengthen Rangers’ midfield as they prepare for another title challenge.
