Celtic striker negotiations continue as Anthony Joseph provides fresh details
Celtic F.C. are continuing talks over a move for Colombian striker Camilo Duran, with negotiations said to be progressing.
The 24-year-old impressed last season after joining Qarabağ FK from Portimonense S.C., scoring 15 goals across all competitions.
While that overall tally may not immediately stand out, Duran’s performances in European competition have caught attention. Five of his goals came in the Champions League, including strikes against S.L. Benfica, AFC Ajax and two against Eintracht Frankfurt. He also found the net in the knockout play-off against Newcastle United F.C..

Reports suggest Celtic’s interest has grown quickly, with fresh updates indicating talks are now underway over a possible deal.
At a reported fee between £2.5m and £3m, Duran could represent a relatively affordable option compared to previous striker signings such as Odsonne Edouard, Albian Ajeti and Adam Idah.
Celtic are currently short on attacking options, with Callum Osmand, Shin Yamada and Johnny Kenny the main recognised forwards available.
With pre-season fixtures fast approaching, manager Martin O’Neill will be eager to get fresh additions through the door as preparations for the new campaign continue.
