Anthony Joseph issues Celtic transfer update amid summer window
According to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph, three Premier League clubs are showing interest in Celtic midfielder Arne Engels ahead of the summer transfer window.
Sunderland, Fulham and Nottingham Forest are all believed to be monitoring the 22-year-old, who arrived at Parkhead from Augsburg in August 2024.

Engels joined Celtic in a club-record £11 million move and quickly established himself as an important figure, particularly during the club’s impressive Champions League run to the Round of 16 play-off stage.
His performances on Europe’s biggest stage appear to have attracted attention south of the border.
Nottingham Forest had previously explored a move for Engels during the January transfer window, but Celtic were unwilling to sanction a deal that would have weakened the squad midway through the season.
Now, with Forest securing their Premier League status, interest has reportedly resurfaced — although they are no longer alone in the race, with Fulham and newly-promoted Sunderland also keeping tabs on the Belgian midfielder.
Still only 22, Engels is viewed as a highly attractive option due to his blend of youth and experience, having already played in both the Bundesliga and Champions League, while also collecting four winners’ medals during his time at Celtic.
