Celtic are reportedly keeping close tabs on Rodez striker Tairyk Arconte as the club explores attacking reinforcements ahead of the new campaign.

The 22-year-old forward enjoyed an impressive season in France’s Ligue 2, scoring 14 goals and registering three assists in 32 appearances to help Rodez secure a place in the promotion play-offs, where they narrowly lost to Saint-Etienne on penalties.

Arconte’s standout performances have sparked growing interest from multiple clubs, with Celtic believed to be among the teams monitoring his situation as Rodez prepare for the possibility of losing one of their most valuable assets this summer.

Reports suggest Championship outfit Millwall and Ligue 1 side Auxerre are also in the race for the highly-rated attacker, whose reputation has risen significantly following an eye-catching campaign.

The Guadeloupe international began his senior career at Ajaccio before making the move to Pau, eventually joining Rodez last summer where he quickly established himself as one of the division’s most dangerous attacking threats.

According to reports from France, Celtic are said to be especially impressed by Arconte’s explosive style of play, with his pace, movement and attacking profile making him an attractive option for the Scottish champions.

With his current contract running until 2028, any potential move may require serious negotiations, especially as interest in the striker continues to intensify across Europe.

Arconte, who previously represented France at youth level before switching international allegiance to Guadeloupe, is now regarded as one of the emerging attacking talents in French football.

Celtic are expected to be active in the transfer market this summer as Martin O’Neill prepares to shape the squad in his own image after agreeing to remain in charge at Parkhead.

Although the club has yet to officially announce the veteran manager’s appointment, preparations for the new season appear well underway as Celtic look to strengthen key areas of the squad.
