Secret Union Bears blackout call revealed ahead of Rangers trip to Celtic Park

Union Bears will not be present for Sunday’s clash at Celtic Park, but the group have still made their intentions known ahead of the fixture.

The Rangers ultras have urged Rangers F.C. supporters to stage a “blackout” by wearing all black for the match against Celtic F.C., despite their absence from the stands.

Their non-attendance comes after the Scottish Professional Football League supported Celtic’s decision not to allocate tickets to the group, following the disorder that surrounded the Scottish Cup quarter-final at Ibrox earlier this year.

While Rangers had opposed that stance, the Union Bears had previously encouraged the club to accept the ticket terms after the SPFL ruling. Now, they appear to be coordinating a visual protest from afar.

The message was revealed via a banner aimed at fans during the recent match at Tynecastle—positioned away from television cameras—but it was still spotted and shared, bringing their plans into the spotlight.

What was once expected to be a defining title showdown has since lost some of its edge, with Rangers now sitting seven points behind the league leaders after back-to-back defeats. Nevertheless, the fixture remains highly charged, and the call for a coordinated “blackout” adds another layer of intrigue to an already intense rivalry.
