Why Jaren Jackson Jr. Switched Jersey From 13 to  8

Jackson revealed on August 8 that he is moving from No. 13 to No. 8 after seven years in the NBA. Jackson is a very good NBA player, and it’s not often that they change their shirt number this far into their career while still playing for the same team.

The most famous example is Kobe Bryant, who went from being ranked No. 8 to No. 24 after 10 NBA seasons.

Jackson talked about his father, Jaren Jackson Sr., who wore No. 8 all the way through his NBA career with the Los Angeles Clippers in a movie that was shared on social media.

New things don’t always bring about change. “Sometimes it helps to remember,” Jaren Jackson Jr. wrote in a social media post.

Jackson has worn the number thirteen throughout his first seven years in the NBA. While he was a student at Michigan State, he played a season wearing the No. 2 jersey.

While playing for the Orlando Magic and San Antonio Spurs, his dad wore jersey number two.

  1. It’s a good idea that they changed the jersey number 13 to number 8 for JJJ because thet number 13 is a badluck number. That’s the reason why the team grizzlies can not reach into the conference final and also can you still remember the basketball team USA last Olympic didn’t get any medal just because of jersey 13 wore by JJJ.
