According to HITC, Manchester City is prepared to compete with Barcelona for Joshua Kimmich, a midfielder for Bayern Munich.

Joshua Kimmich was a prospect for current Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola during the Argentine midfielder’s tenure at the Allianz Arena, and the two may soon be reunited.

According to sources who spoke with HITC, Thomas Tuchel failed to inspire confidence in the midfielder Kimmich. However, since the former Chelsea manager has left Bavaria, the Bundesliga heavyweights have renewed optimism that the player will extend his contract, which has only one month remaining.

With twelve months remaining on his contract, the midfielder is reportedly evaluating his options prior to his next professional transfer.

The city is interested in Kimmich.
Kimmich is reportedly weighing his transfer options between England and Spain as he approaches a critical juncture, according to HITC.

Guardiola holds Kimmich in the highest regard, and the German midfielder has previously acknowledged that the City manager was among the most influential figures in shaping his career in Germany.

It is believed that City is prepared to offer Kimmich a Premier League starting job, but if former Bayern manager Hansi Flick has his way, their plans could be thwarted.

This season, Kimmich has appeared in 28 Bundesliga games for Bayern, during which time he has contributed to one goal and six assists. However, Bayern has had a disappointing season, as Bayer Leverkusen won the Bundesliga.

Flick may, as previously stated, have a significant impact on the destination of Kimmich, given Barcelona’s strong interest in the seasoned defensive midfielder. This week, Flick was officially appointed manager of Barcelona.

Although Flick has only been at Barcelona for a few days, it is believed that he has informed the club’s leadership that acquiring Kimmich should be their number one priority.

Kimmich himself will ultimately have the authority to decide whom to select.
