Chelsea is reportedly interested in signing Karim Adeyemi, a forward from Borussia Dortmund who has impressed his former teammate Jude Bellingham.

Jude Bellingham once praised Karim Adeyemi, the £25 million target of Chelsea, stating that “not many players can stop” him. This revelation is sure to generate excitement among Chelsea supporters.

During their time in Germany, Bellingham, who was a phenomenon at Borussia Dortmund before his significant move to Real Madrid for £88 million last summer, observed Adeyemi’s capabilities firsthand.

According to the Mirror, Adeyemi’s tenure at Dortmund in 2022 has been difficult due to injuries and periods of inconsistency.

The 2023/24 season was exceptionally challenging for the 22-year-old forward, as a foot ligament injury restricted him to only five goals in 34 appearances across all competitions and only 10 Bundesliga starts.

However, speculation regarding a Premier League transfer continues, as Chelsea is purportedly interested in acquiring Adeyemi’s signature, despite his subpar season, according to BILD.

The report indicates that Chelsea’s executives are currently in contact with the German international in an effort to persuade him to relocate to England. Dortmund, on the other hand, is believed to be negotiating for a fee of £25 million, which is slightly less than the £32.5 million they paid Red Bull Salzburg for him.

It has been reported that negotiations between Chelsea and Dortmund are imminent; however, Juventus may pose a formidable challenge to the Blues in their pursuit of the youthful forward.

The flashes of brilliance that captivated Bellingham during their shared tenure in Germany are evident, despite the fact that he has experienced his fair share of ups and downs with the German club. The England ace was effusive in his adulation for his former teammate following the German’s extraordinary goal against Chelsea in the Champions League the previous season.

“We are extremely confident when he receives the ball one-on-one.” Bellingham stated to BT Sport, “There are few players who can impede him.” “He had a tough time coming here at the start – finding his feet – and now he’s flying.”

Despite the fact that Adeyemi was not selected for Germany’s Euro 2024 squad, Bellingham continues to ignite the football world on the international stage, scoring two goals in England’s march to the semi-finals. The Netherlands will be the opponent of the Three Lions on Wednesday, July, 10.
