Aberdeen reveal ticket sales update ahead of Hampden showdown with Rangers
Aberdeen have sold just over 10,000 tickets for their Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Rangers at Hampden Park on Saturday evening.
Stephen Robinson’s side will face the Gers at the national stadium at 5.30pm, with a place in the League Cup final up for grabs.
The Dons had initially pushed for an equal 50/50 ticket split for the last-four encounter. However, the SPFL instead allocated the club 17,000 tickets across the East and South Stands at Hampden.

Aberdeen’s allocation was subsequently reduced by 500 tickets following the pitch invasion and pyrotechnics used by sections of their support during the earlier cup victory over Kilmarnock. The club was also required to cover the cost of the sanction.
With only four days remaining before the eagerly anticipated showdown, the Pittodrie outfit have shifted slightly more than 10,000 tickets. Meanwhile, Rangers have recently secured additional tickets for their own supporters ahead of the clash.
Robinson will be hoping his team can deliver a memorable result despite their inconsistent start to the Scottish Premiership campaign. Aberdeen host Falkirk on Wednesday evening, with the opportunity to improve their league position before turning their full attention to Saturday’s cup encounter.
Winning the semi-final would give Robinson the chance to compete for silverware during his early spell in charge of the Dons.
If Aberdeen overcome Rangers at Hampden, they will face either Hearts or Hibernian in the Premier Sports Cup final, putting them one victory away from lifting the trophy.
