Turki Alalshikh breaks his silence with major health update after Derby County exit
Turki Alalshikh has opened up about his health just two months after making the surprise decision to walk away from his proposed takeover of Derby County.
The boxing billionaire made the admission during the first press conference for the highly anticipated Battle of Britain clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, which is scheduled to take place in Cardiff in December.

Alalshikh told those gathered that he has not been in good health over the past several months, explaining that his main reason for attending the event was to support the fighters.
He also referenced the film The Bucket List as he spoke about his ambitions in boxing and his desire to complete as many of his goals as possible.
Fury subsequently paid tribute to Alalshikh for helping bring his long-awaited showdown with Joshua to fruition, describing the fight as a contest that had been discussed for around a decade.
The revelation comes after Alalshikh’s dramatic decision to abandon his proposed Derby County takeover.
He had made significant progress with the deal in May and had reportedly received approval from the Independent Football Regulator and the Football League.
However, just an hour before the takeover was expected to be announced, Alalshikh pulled out.
He explained that the regulatory process had taken longer than expected and left insufficient time to prepare Derby’s squad and wider operation for the new season, despite several weeks of the transfer window remaining.
Alalshikh thanked everyone involved in the negotiations and left the door open to potentially revisiting the situation in the future.
His latest comments now provide an insight into what he has been dealing with personally since his decision to step away from the Derby takeover.
