Sheffield Wednesday explain Liam Cooper and Callum Slattery absences against Wolves
Sheffield Wednesday are expected to welcome back Liam Cooper and Callum Slattery for this weekend’s meeting with Bromley after both players missed Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup defeat to Wolves.
Manager Henrik Pedersen is due to speak to the media on Friday, when he is expected to provide further updates on Harry Gray and Sil Swinkels. Gray was forced off after a collision and suspected nose injury, while Swinkels was withdrawn with a hamstring problem.

Cooper and Slattery should be available for selection after sitting out the Wolves fixture.
Cooper featured for 69 minutes against Bradford City last Thursday and had been managing some knocks and bruises in the days that followed. However, Pedersen confirmed before the Wolves game that the defender had returned to full training.
“Liam, he has trained today, so he’s fully fit,” Pedersen said.
Slattery also trained but was deliberately rested after covering significant ground during Wednesday’s opening matches.
“Slatt also trained today, but Slatt has run so many kilometres in the first games,” Pedersen explained. “I thought it was one game where we also could save him from running another 13 kilometres so he can stay fresh.”
Wednesday will still have several injury concerns to contend with. New signing Jordi Liongola is expected to spend a number of weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, although Pedersen stressed that his absence should not run into months.
Di’Shon Bernard continues to make progress in his recovery from a long-term injury but is unlikely to return immediately, while George Brown also remains unavailable. Tyler Onyango could potentially miss the remainder of the season.
