Danny Rohl lining up move for highly rated signing, with player open to Rangers switch

Glasgow Rangers look set to end another season without silverware, but there have still been positives at Ibrox — not least the breakthrough performances of loan star Mikey Moore.

Supporters are now waiting to see what happens next with the 18-year-old winger, whose future remains undecided as parent club Tottenham Hotspur weigh up whether to keep him for next season or allow another loan spell.

Since Danny Rohl took charge, Moore has become a key figure, scoring six Premiership goals and recently being named PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year. His impact has been so strong that many fans already view him as Rangers’ standout signing of the campaign, even though his stay may only be temporary — something Rohl is reportedly keen to replicate in future deals.

Meanwhile, attention is already turning to the summer window, with reports suggesting a £9m-rated midfielder has expressed interest in joining Rangers.

Despite back-to-back defeats ending any realistic title hopes, there is a growing sense of progress under Rohl, who has built a young, energetic squad. January additions such as Ryan Naderi, Tochi Chukwuani and Tuur Rommens underline a shift towards developing talent for the future.

That approach is expected to continue, with Rangers still showing strong interest in BK Hacken midfielder Silas Andersen. According to reports, midfield reinforcements remain a priority, and the 21-year-old Dane is open to a move to Ibrox — although any deal could depend on whether Rangers are willing to meet a fee believed to be around £9m.

Andersen is highly rated in Scandinavia and has been described by talent scout Jacek Kulig as “one of the most interesting holding midfielders” in the region. Comfortable both in midfield and defence, he has already contributed goals and assists for Hacken while standing out for his defensive work rate and ball-winning ability.

With comparisons being drawn to current Rangers midfielders, the club see him as a potential long-term successor profile — a dynamic, all-round midfielder capable of shaping the team under Rohl’s evolving project.
