Premier League club makes unexpected move for Frank Lampard amid Coventry rise
Frank Lampard is reportedly attracting serious interest from Crystal Palace F.C. despite only just guiding Coventry City F.C. back to the Premier League.
Lampard’s reputation has been significantly boosted after leading Coventry to the EFL Championship title and ending the club’s 25-year absence from the top flight. However, his success has quickly put him on the radar of clubs searching for managerial changes this summer.

Crystal Palace are understood to have made contact with Lampard as they prepare for the possible departure of current boss Oliver Glasner. The Eagles believe the former Chelsea F.C. and Everton F.C. manager could continue the progress achieved under Glasner at Selhurst Park.
Reports also suggest Fulham F.C. are monitoring Lampard’s situation as uncertainty remains over the future of Marco Silva.
Although Lampard still has 12 months remaining on his current contract at Coventry, doubts remain over whether the newly-promoted club can establish themselves in the Premier League long-term. Sky Blues owner Doug King has previously admitted it could be difficult to keep hold of the manager if major clubs make an approach.
Coventry are expected to offer Lampard improved terms following promotion, but it is believed the club would not stand in his way should he decide to pursue another Premier League opportunity.
Meanwhile, Palace are preparing for a significant transition period after seeing key players depart in recent months. Glasner had publicly voiced frustrations over losing stars such as Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi, though the club responded by investing heavily in new signings including Brennan Johnson and Jørgen Strand Larsen.
Lampard is now believed to be weighing up his options carefully as interest in his services continues to grow following Coventry’s remarkable campaign.
